LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Each issue of North & South has an aptly named Crossfire column.
This consists of at least two pages of letters to the editor, almost all of which concern articles, book reviews, editorials, or previous letters, together with appropriate response from the editor or a contributing author. So lively is the column, that many readers turn to it first.
Letters for publication should be sent via email to northandsouth@netptc.net, or by mail to North & South, 33756 Black Mountain Road, Tollhouse, CA 93667.
Though longer letters are often published, it will increase the chance of seeing your letter in print if you restrict it to no more than 300 words.
EMAIL DISCUSSION GROUP

The Civil War Society/North & South email discussion group is open to all subscribers to the magazine. Membership is free. The group features lively email exchanges between members, often, but by no means always, related to articles that have appeared in the magazine. Members also take the opportunity to ask questions regarding aspects of the war and exchange views about recently published books. Founded in 2003, the group has stood the test of time as a friendly, easy-going medium for the exchange of views and information regarding the conflict of 1861-1865.
